DESCRIPTION
The back door ECU monitors the condition of the power window motor and detects the position of the door glass by using pulse signals output from the 2 pulse sensors in the power window motor.

FAIL-SAFE
If the pulse sensor in the back door power window regulator motor malfunctions (DTC B2221 is output), the power window functions will be restricted:
- The AUTO UP/ DOWN function is disabled.
- The MANUAL UP/DOWN function via the back door power window switch can be performed with the ignition switch ON.
- The MANUAL UP/DOWN function via the back door lock key cylinder can be performed with the ignition switch ON.

(a) Disconnect the V3 back door ECU connector. |
(b) Disconnect the V4 back door power window regulator motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
